Still doing the same thing?

The other day, I bumped into a client I used to train ( not naming the client or location )

Me: hey, how are you

Her: Awww Paul, I’ve not been good, blah, blah, blah

When this woman attended my sessions, or program, its fair to say that she was out of shape, and areas of her life were out of control

she was eating junk food

drinking fizzy drinks

on anti depressants

overweight

stopped going out

kept convincing herself that she was fine and happy, but in reality, she was far from it

when I started training her ( a few years back now )

she hadn’t exercised in years

from a very sedentary lifestyle

she went to being brilliant on the pads,

was fitter, stronger

started buying smaller clothes

was more in control of her life

started going on holiday etc etc

massively changed her life around

after a period, and getting great results, she left, with a familiar saying ( which was cool ),

“I’m going to join a gym”

Me: “That’s fine so and so. You’ve been a great client and done fantastic. Give me a shout if you ever need any further advice or help with anything”

Anyway, a couple of months down the line, she stopped going the gym

and slowly started going back to her old habits.

sometimes we get so far, and think that we’re fine, but we still need that extra support, guidance, advice, accountability etc around us, to help us to keep moving forward

when I seen her, she was slightly out of breath and sweating ( and that had nothing to do with my diminishing good looks, haha )

( she could take a joke mind )

Anyway, they’ll be more women in this position, I’m sure

and its beginning to get hotter now

Are yo currently in the same position as this lady? Slipped back into your old ways

Just doing the same thing over and over again

no goals, or ambition, and life’s just passing you by

If so, please give me a shout and let me help you

before Summer has finished

Paul ‘good listener’ Coshott

PS – If your totally not bothered about not having the energy to play with your kids this Summer,

eating junk food

and having the same year as you did last year

then that’s cool. each to their own I’d say. however, we probably wouldn’t be a good match to work with each other

therefore, its probably best to hit the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of this message

Needing help getting washed

Apparently today, its going to get hotter

20 degrees in fact

I can tell the weather is changing, as I’ve had about 15 enquiries for my programs over the past few days

Thing is though

The weather or heat can be very uncomfortable for some people, especially if they are overweight

sometimes, when someone gets in touch with me, and wants me to train them, they’ll explain the position they’re in

and if the weather is getting warmer, the potential client is more concerned

they explain to me that they got hotter than most people ( due to the excess weight )

they don’t really want to do anything because they’ll sweat anymore

their clothes cling to them even more ( as if their clothes have shrunk )

they don’t feel well

knees and ankles hurt

cant enjoy their leisure time with their kids ( no energy )

struggle washing some areas of their bodies ( yep, I’ve heard this. some even need assistance )

avoid social events or gatherings ( barbecues etc )

the list could go on

however

if you are experiencing some of the above,

I can assure you, that there is still time, to lose weight, get fitter and feel more confident, just in time for the summer

but if you want me to help you ( and I’m the best in my field in training women )

you’ll have to be quick

cos as I say, the weather is getting warmer, and more enquiries are beginning to come through ( and I don’t take on everyone – only the committed )

Helvellyn challenge 2018

[if !

For the past couple of years now, I have done a residential training weekend for some of my clients

This year, I have pencilled in a training weekend for the end of September, in the Lake District

The main challenge of the weekend, is to go up and down Helvellyn

Helvellyn is the third biggest mountain in England

With May looming, we’ll have to start training for it very soon

If you are interested in attending this and would like to join in on the training sessions or walks before we go, please let me know

They’ll only be between 8-10 spaces available on the weekend

Regarding our fitness, it’s important that we have a goal and challenge in place

And going up Helvellyn would be ideal ( last year we did Snowdon )

Paul ‘Bear grylls’ Coshott

PS – if getting fitter, slimmer and feeling more confident, isn’t your thing this year

Then that’s cool. It’s probably best to hit the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of this message

A winning weekend

How was your weekend?

Did you put a bet on the National at all?

I did

I was running late in the day, and wasn’t able to get to a bookmakers, so I ended up using an online account that i used to use

I was trying to put a bet on, and for some reason, it wasn’t going through

I was starting to panic, and continuing trying

In the end, I ended up betting a lot more than I intended, £55 😡

I couldn’t believe it

I ended up losing £50, as the horses I betted on, didn’t come in

However

With only £5 now in my betting account, I decided to have a little flutter on the football yesterday, as try and win some of it back

First match was Newcastle at home to Arsenal

I betted the £5 for them to win, and they won, and I won £13

I then betted £10 for West Brom to beat Man Utd at Old Trafford, and they did, and I won £146

Cool hey

So I’m now up by £91

The moral of the story being ( and I’ve said this a few times )

I took a chance

I gambled

And this is something we need to do, in all areas of our lives

You see

If you don’t try,

Nothing will happen

And you’ll continue doing the same thing, and getting the same result, in a particular area of your life

Today is the start of a new week

What areas of your life do you need to gamble in, or take a chance, for things to change?

Paul ‘life coach’ Coshott

PS – This week is the second week of our pre summer training program. If you would like to join, this is the last week you can start

After this week, the next program starts in July

Woman collapses after 3 stone weight loss

Yesterday, when I was training a client, I was explaining to her the importance of taking in protein, carbs and fats, and the roles of what each macro does

This lead on to her telling me, that one of her neighbours, lost 3 stone and then collapsed

This happened after the women went 4/5 weeks without carbs

Certainly not good, and definitely not the right approach to take

I hear this all the time, “Oh, I’m goin on oliday in a few weeks time, I just wont eat or I’ll cut out carbs”

This is not what I teach my clients

Its all about balance, getting physically and mentally stronger, getting fitter, healthier, reducing Body fat %, feeling more confident

You’ll never hear me preach about the ‘no carbs before marbs’ approach

Its only about 12 weeks now until mid summer ( i’m counting because I’m going to Vegas )

What approach are you taking, in order to get in shape and have the energy for the Summer?

PS – Have you got a copy of my cook book yet? Its completely FREE. Send me a message if you want a copy

PPS – Only 7 places available, for me to do personal diet plans. I’m starting on them this weekend ( £25 for a limited time only )

PPS – My new Summer weight training program starts on Monday. 12 week program to get you in shape for the Summer. Click on the following link to apply for a free trial week – http://www.liverpoolpersonaltrainer.com/women-only-weight-training-sessions/

My legs are killing me

Its fair to say that I got quite a few messages through yesterday, from my clients who attended the first session, of the ‘Women Only – Pre Summer training program’, as we focused mainly on the Glute ( bum ) area

This is a new 12 week program, were all my clients on the program will go through 4 workouts over the period

So for the next 6 weeks, they will do Glutes, ( lower body ) on a Monday and then upper body on Thursday

22 years inflicting pain

Yesterday, marked 22 years since I first started out in business

As someone put it, ’22 years of inflicting pain’, haha

Usually, when the date approaches, I start thinking about how I got started and what I went through during the early days

but yesterday, the date almost past me by, as I’ve been very focused on what I want to achieve over the next few weeks

Whats nice about the landmark though, is that I do get some respect for being in business so long, and dedicating all my energy and focus in to something

Even other people in the industry respect me, but not everyone ( its a very arrogant industry )

However, I’m not going to go on, about the highs and lows of being in business and what I have and haven’t done

but what I will say, is that if there was something that I could give you, or a bit of advice, or a skill or asset that you need, in order to chase something and achieve it

the number one thing would be Persistence.

Any books that I’ve read, any CDs that I’ve listened to, or speakers that I’ve been to see

nearly all of them would talk about Persistence

for me, Persistence is generated through other skills, actions, behaviours etc

so if there’s one thing that you really need to work on and master, that would be Persistence

and be Persistent in all areas of your life……

Losing weight

getting fit

being a great Mum

Being a great Partner

being a great Friend etc

the more you practice it, the more it will become a habit, and then you wont even think about using it, it will be part of your identity

PS – I’ve just released a couple of new spaces for my 6 week body transformation course. To apply, please click on the following link and fill out the short application form http://www.coshottfitness.com/women-only-application-thanks/

I’ve booked a holiday

[}

I’ve finally booked a holiday

In fact, it’s the first time I’ve booked one in almost 4 years

During that time, ive purely been focussing on my classes and programs

But when the opportunity came about, to book a trip to Vegas with some mates,

I couldn’t turn it down

So I’m looking forward to it

But isn’t it funny, once you book a holiday

You can immediately begin to think of how you would look and feel, on the beach

Or maybe when your going out of an evening

Me and a mate have already been joking with each other, about the training we’re going to have to do, in order to get in shape for it, haha

Not that I need much training mind

But I often receive messages from women,

Who are in a similar position to myself

Who are booking or have booked a holiday

And already worried about how they will look on the beach or around the pool

Are you currently in this position?

If so, I might have something for you

This week, my new ‘Pre Summer Training Program’ is starting

This is a 12 week program, consisting of weight training and boxing sessions

I’ll also provide you with 2 diet plans. The first one, has a great track record amongst women who attend my sessions. The second one is more personalised. This is a 3 day plan, based on the calories you need to take in. I I usually sell these 3 day diet plans for £45, but for a short period, I am prepared to offer this as a bonus, for joining the program

If you are interested in joining the program, this is the final week were I can offer a free week trial. There’s actually only 2 spaces available now on the course

If you’d like to take advantage of this, please click on the following link and fill out the short application form – http://www.liverpoolpersonaltrainer.com/women-only-weight-training-sessions/

Everything that I’ll be telling you to do, I’l be doing myself, as I’ve only got 12 week to my holiday

The Gut, Anxiety and mental health

Over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed a few articles popping out, regarding the gut and mental health

I didn’t really pay much attention to these articles, until a guy who I know got in touch with me a few weeks ago, and told me the results some of his clients have been getting, from the result of a ‘gut detox’

The microbiome ( bacteria around the gut ), is now getting more interest from researchers, due to the effects it has on the brain and mental behaviour

Tests where done on mice, several years ago, one group being fed gut bacteria and the other group being fed bacteria free broth

There was significant behaviours in the bacteria fed mice

Since then, tests have also been held amongst adults, and as a result, there was quite a significant effect in lowering stress response and changing brain activity

The use of anti depressants seems to be going up each year, and it’s very easy now to come across someone who uses them

But in the next couple of years, getting your ‘microbiome’ checked, might be as regular as getting your cholesterol checked

Although tests are still ongoing, and it’s still early days, many people are excited “we are in the early days of unravelling the secrets of this system” says Dr Emeran Mayer, author of The Mind Gut connection, “I think we currently know about 10%, but in the next 10-20 years, this could revolutionise many areas of medicine”

Paul ‘full of facts’ Coshott

PS – I’ll be talking about this at my next seminar, possibly next week

PPS – My new Pre Summer training program starts today ( only 2 spaces available )
