Do you like smoothies?

Are you a fan of smoothies?

I am. In fact, I have one almost every day now.

So, if you are, check out this video I have put together, ‘green smoothie’

Its high in Vitamin C, which is great for boosting the immune system and helping recover from workouts

Whenever I post this video up on my Facebook page ( liverpool personal trainer ), it always gets a great response

Feeling Agitated?

A couple of weeks ago, I had one of those fizzy energy drinks, that contains a lot of caffeine

I’m very sensitive to caffeine, so I hardly drink it

In fact, the only time I do drink it, is before a weight training session

Anyway, I had this drink. I enjoyed it at the time, but afterwards, i totally regretted it

After a while, I could feel the after effects of it. Not that I was full of energy, but I started feeling a bit short tempted and aggressive

Which then led to me feeling very agitated and my mind escalating

This can almost spiral out of control

A few years ago, i identified these effects from drinking energy drinks and pre workout drinks

It took me a while to recognise it was them

Thing is, these days, I notice so many people drinking these drinks, especially kids

They can be great before a workout, as caffeine is a good stimulant

But otherwise, can contribute towards someone’s wellbeing, in a negative way, especially when being over consumed

So, if you’re ever feeling agitated, short tempted with people, no patience, can’t sleep, suffering with palpitations etc

Then maybe you need to look at your caffeine intake, or what your actually drinking throughout the day

And if your consuming a lot of caffeine, then try and ween yourself off it, and start looking for alternatives

At first, there will be side effects, but after a while, you will feel better for it

Remember, being in control of your mental state, without any outside influences, is your first port of call, above anything else

Bored with your diet?

Its one of the main reasons why people don’t stick to them

they end up eating the same things over and over again, and totally run out of ideas of what to have

Suffering with Anxiety

As you might be aware, I came back from holiday a few days ago, from Vegas

Truth be know, I had severe Anxiety before I went

This had been going on for a couple of months, and at times, it really escalated

I couldn’t really determine what was causing it. I’ve done quite a few big trips before, so I have some experience, but I couldn’t really figure out what was causing it

Maybe it was because i hadn’t been away in a while

But otherwise, I’d spent a period getting really stressed out about it, and had loads of negative thoughts going through my head,

How would the plane get there

Would the plane crash

Would I have enough money

What would we do once we where there

Am I taking enough clothes

Would I need an extra bag etc etc

It was crazy

When I actually arrived there, it probably took me a day or two to acclimatise and to start relaxing. A big weight was lifted from my shoulders

Weeks/ months leading up to the departure, I had to try and spend a bit of time visualising how the trip would go, to help calm me down

Thing is, more and more people suffer with anxiety these days. I think social media has a lot to answer for, as we’re surrounded by images everyday. Good and bad things happening, and what we should and shouldn’t have in our lives etc

I see it a lot more now with my clients

And people can also get really anxious by joining an exercise class or similar environment

We have to try and spend a moment each day, trying to take back control of our emotions

This can be done through exercise, meditation, yoga or maybe a tapping exercise. If your not familiar with tapping, do a YouTube search for ‘tapping for Anxiety’. You should find loads of great mind exercises on there that can help you, or can help you with anything else. They’ll only work though, if you believe they’re going to work

Struggling to sleep?

Are you struggling with your sleep?

Do you ever feel stressful, moody and have no energy?

If so, then check out this interview I’ve just done with one of my clients, Jude

Jude has been attending my Women Only Boxercise and weight training programs for almost 2 years.

She’d done fantastically well within that time and had lost a lot of weight, however, maybe about a few months ago now, she’d hit a plateau

She wasn’t losing anymore weight, and wasn’t really feeling the full benefits of the programs she was on

After a discussion with her, she decided to follow a ‘Gut reset program’ that would help her remove bad bacteria from around her gut, and in turn, help her to start feeling the full benefits of my programs

However, the main issue with Jude was sleep

“I just wasn’t getting any sleep at all. I was substituting water for coffee, thinking it would boost my energy levels, but it wasn’t’

On a scale of 1-10, Jude described her energy levels, sleep, stress levels and mood as 3/4 ( bad )

Jude then started the ‘Gut reset program’, which was a 3 week course. At first, she eliminated things like caffeine, wheat, sugar, artificial sugar, alcohol, dairy etc from her diet

After Jude completed the 3 week program, we went over her results. Her energy levels massively improved, as well as her mood and stress levels

But not only that, she started to have more sleep again. In fact, she then described her sleep as ‘8’, a massive improvement since she started the program

Added Bonuses:

Jude also lost half a stone, and can now fit into a size 8 jeans, for the first time in years

She’d also lost half an inch off each arm and an inch of each thigh

Overall, her results have been amazing

My pleasure pack

While I was away in Vegas, I stayed in rather a posh hotel ( didn’t know it was posh until I got there )

Anyhoo….

There was a cabinet in my room, that contained a fridge with mini bar etc

On top of the cabinet was a kind of shelf, that contained all posh sweets, waters, other bits etc

I took a closer look, and I noticed a package that said something like ‘The pleasure pack’ or something like that

I picked it up and had a look. I was intrigued. It contained condoms, femidoms, sex toys and other things, 😂😂. Don’t think I’d seen anything like it before 😂😂

A day or two later I had to go to the hotel reception. I checked my mini bar bill, and then was shocked when the receptionist said to me, “Mr Coshott, you have a few more items on your bill, you’ve used the pleasure pack”

“Ha, hey” was my response

Apparently, id been automatically charged for moving it. Ha, I had to explain my innocence for not using it

Unfortunately, I didn’t even get much of an opportunity to have been able to use it ☹️😂😂

But, imagine if I’d have had to pay for it, without getting the full benefits of the pack

I would have felt let down ( in some areas )

Certainly frustrated ( again in some areas 😉 )

And I would have been thinking, ‘what could have been or what could have happened’

But before my mind is led astray, it leads me on to this…..

People who have signed up to my program, or one of my programs, paid for it, and then not turned up, or only done one or two sessions

Surely you would be feeling the same, as I was in Vegas ( if I paid for the pack )

My program (s), is a bit more expensive than a ‘pleasure pack’ as well

And, I even guarantee a ‘happy ending’ ( physically and mentally tho, not sexually )

So, if you have signed up to one of my programs, or maybe someone else’s,

And you are feeling frustrated, dissatisfied, let down, etc ( again, not sexually )

Weights before dates

Truth be known,

Years ago, before I would go on a date, I used to do a heavy weight training session

And it was always chest and biceps 😂😂

( well, I had to try and impress didn’t I )

In fact, this habit led into other areas of my life

Especially before I went out on a Saturday night

And the tighter the top I wore, the better

( not that this approach always got me to where I wanted to be by the end of the night )

Anyway, here’s the thing……

I did it because it made me feel good, a bit more confident

And over the years ( nearly 23 ), of Training Women, they feel the same after doing a weights session

Not that any of my clients have done a weights session before a date or night out

They feel stronger, more toned, more confident etc

Which always helps, if you a desired goal in mind
