10 ways to lose weight without trying

Losing weight takes a lot of sweat and discipline, but even if you’re not powering through a treadmill interval workout or counting calories. there are a lot of simple ways to see those calories drop on the scale. Here are 10 little daily tricks that can help you lose weight, no gym or diet required:
1. Start each meal with a glass of water: You’ll stay hydrated and feel fuller instantly, which can stop over eating
2. Opt for fresh fruit instead of dried: Can save you calories
3. Have a piece of Dark Chocolate for Desert: Instead of opting for biscuits for desert ( which I know some of you like to have, haha), quiet your sugar cravings with a piece of dark chocolate. More healthy and less sugar than ordinary chocolate
4. Be diligent about portion control: If you want to lose weight, sticking to the right portion sizes at every meal is important. Measure out snacks beforehand instead of eating from the bag. Use smaller plates etc. 
5. Move More: I always tell clients to buy a skipping rope. Its a cheap piece of equipment and it will help get your heart rate up as well as burning calories. Otherwise, try and walk more. Park your car a bit further away from work etc. 
6. Don’t drink your calories: I know a lot of women like to have a couple of glasses of wine throughout the week. Empty calories from wine or soda can start to add up. Stick to water and maybe add some pieces of fresh fruit to help give it flavor. 
7. Don’t go hungry for too long: Starving yourself with help your sugar levels to drop, therefore you will be craving sugary snacks. Keep your protein intake high and have healthy snacks available 
8. Snack on high fiber foods: When it is time to snack, make your food work for you. Food high in Fiber will keep you feeling fuller for longer, as well as high protein foods. 
9. Breakfast, eat like a king. Dinner, eat like a queen. Tea time, eat like a pauper: Someone told me this years ago. Try and eat your biggest meals earlier on the day ( mostly carbs ). Tea time will be your smallest meal ( depending on what you have been doing in the evening.) This will consist of mostly proteins and vegetables. 
10. Get more sleep: A lack of sleep can cause you to eat more throughout the day and can also contribute towards your workouts. Try and aim for 7 hours sleep a night.
