A sugar hangover

You’re probably familiar with what happens to your body when you drink too much alcohol.
You wake up the next morning with a headache, feeling sluggish and swearing you’ll never take a sip of alcohol again
But then, the next time we go out, we end up over doing it again on the ale
We’re all guilty of doing it ( me included )
When I was a kid, I used to love Halloween
Going around the houses, collecting chocolate and other sweets
And then when i got back home, playing duck apple and eating toffee apples ( which were my favourite )
Now as an adult, I’m much better at my sugar cravings
In fact, I hardly have any these days
The only chocolate I have, is a 200g bar of Whole nut on a Saturday night, mmmmmmm
But unfortunately, afterwards, |I suffer with stomach ache and dehydration.
And its what some might call a ‘sugar hangover’
If you feel like this, this morning ( after Halloween ), here’s some tips to help you out
1. Get up ( even if you don’t want to )

This will help speed up your digestion
2. Don’t continue to binge

Accept that you have binged, don’t beat yourself up about it. Make sure your next meal that you have is a healthy one, high protein, low GI carbs and low sugar breakfast
3. Hydrate

A big sugar intake can dehydrate you. Make sure you rehydrate yourself with plenty of water
