Are your Values/ Emotions taking you Forward?
In my opinion, Motivation is driven by Beliefs and Values. We all have a group of Values, Success, Security, Comfort, Health etc, and no matter what, we will do whatever it takes to get these Values met.
Workaholics, alcoholics, drug addicts, exercise enthusiasts etc etc, all have values, deep down, that motivates them to do what they do. Do you agree?
Emotions are very closely linked to Values and can often work against us.
For example, if you have a Value of adventure, and you have an emotion of fear, then the two are going to work against each other, and not exactly going to help you do some travelling and a Bungee jump etc
So, with regards to your own goals or losing weight etc, what values or emotions do you currently have, regarding things you want to achieve. Maybe make a small list of them
Now, again thinking about what you want to achieve, make a list of values or emotions you need to have in place, in order for you to achieve your desired outcome. Keep the list handy to remind you
