If your setting goals in your fitness, career, travel, family, relationship etc area of your life, you have to get really clear and what you want and why you want it
Too many times lately, I’ve asked clients and other people on what they want ( from the training sessions or other things ) and they’ve given me a one sentence response, i.e. I want to lose weight or I want to lose 1 stone
When I’ve then asked them why, they’ve responded by saying “I don’t know”
Thing is, if you’ve not got a big enough reason on why you want it, then your motivation towards it, will be very weak
Now If a person was to respond by saying “i want to lose 1 stone in weight. I want to do do this by the end of the year. Once I have achieved it, I’ll feel more confident. I’ll be able to fit into my old clothes again and then I’ll start socialising more” etc etc
When you know what you want, and you’ve really explored why you want it, then you will have more motivation and desire to get what you want
Finally, you have to be accountable to someone. By letting someone know what you want and what your going to do to get it, will increase the chances of you following through with your actions
So remember, get clear on what you want and why you want it
