My unexpected guest

On Thursday night/ Friday morning, I was woken up by an unwelcome guest

It’s was about 2am,

Unfortunately, Its wasn’t Kylie Minogue, or Sienna MIller

Rather than getting a visual, it was a noise that had woken me

I wasn’t sure if I was still dreaming

I carried on listening to it, and I could hear scratching

I carried on listening to it, which confirmed that something was about somewhere

Much to my disapproval, I had to get up

I was fuming

I checked my wardrobe and nothing was there

Eventually, I moved the wardrobe from the alcove

And a mouse ran from behind it

I feckin hate those things

It ran towards the bedroom door, and then ran back, at least I thought it did

I had a look around the landing and the back bedroom, but couldn’t see anything

I then looked behind the wardrobe, and I could see a bit of a gap between were the flooring met the skirting board

It must have ran back there

I tipped my bed upside down, to make sure it hadn’t entered it

Eventually I climbed back into bed. It was now 4am

I waited up for a bit to see if I could hear anything, and eventually I must have dozed off about 5am

Unfortunately, I was then woken up again at 7am to more scratching and nor-ring from behind the wardrobe

I couldn’t believe it

I was then trying to decide on whether to sort it out myself or get some one in

The nose was that bad, that no way could I let it continue

Plus, there might have been more of them

Eventually, I decided to get someone out, asap

I did a google search on my phone, and phoned up the first person or company, at the top of the ist

This guy charged a £150 for a call out

I booked him. I didn’t want to be dithering and I wanted it sorted asap

He came around just before 12pm

I was gutted for paying the money. In fact, almost sick

He checked the whole house, put traps down and poison, and is due back in a few weeks

On Friday night when I got home, I sealed up the gap that was in my room

Then, just as I was about to go to bed, I seen it again, running down the stairs, into the kitchen ( Not seen it since )

Hopefully its now found one of the traps and that’s it

Looking back, I’m possibly a bit glad that I did get someone out when I did and someone who thoroughly checked the house and put traps down

I wouldn’t have know what to do really, and if I’d have got the council out, I would have had to wait almost a week

But what I’ve learnt is this

Sometimes its best just to get an expert out

Who is gonna get straight to the root of the problem and sort it out

It might cost more

but in the long run

it will save you time and money

The same can be said for

weight loss, confidence and fitness

So many people aren’t were they want to be

They’ll try the latest diet fads, buy some exercise dvds, maybe buy some supplements

spending a lot of money

but in a few weeks, they’re right back to were they started……again

Do you do this at all?

As I say, sometimes you’ve just got to get in touch with the expert

and get the issue(s) sorted, asap
