Suffering with Anxiety

As you might be aware, I came back from holiday a few days ago, from Vegas

Truth be know, I had severe Anxiety before I went

This had been going on for a couple of months, and at times, it really escalated

I couldn’t really determine what was causing it. I’ve done quite a few big trips before, so I have some experience, but I couldn’t really figure out what was causing it

Maybe it was because i hadn’t been away in a while

But otherwise, I’d spent a period getting really stressed out about it, and had loads of negative thoughts going through my head,

How would the plane get there

Would the plane crash

Would I have enough money

What would we do once we where there

Am I taking enough clothes

Would I need an extra bag etc etc

It was crazy

When I actually arrived there, it probably took me a day or two to acclimatise and to start relaxing. A big weight was lifted from my shoulders

Weeks/ months leading up to the departure, I had to try and spend a bit of time visualising how the trip would go, to help calm me down

Thing is, more and more people suffer with anxiety these days. I think social media has a lot to answer for, as we’re surrounded by images everyday. Good and bad things happening, and what we should and shouldn’t have in our lives etc

I see it a lot more now with my clients

And people can also get really anxious by joining an exercise class or similar environment

We have to try and spend a moment each day, trying to take back control of our emotions

This can be done through exercise, meditation, yoga or maybe a tapping exercise. If your not familiar with tapping, do a YouTube search for ‘tapping for Anxiety’. You should find loads of great mind exercises on there that can help you, or can help you with anything else. They’ll only work though, if you believe they’re going to work
