Hi {!firstname_fix}

Every now and again, I get an email from a dating site, titled ‘What Women Want’.

From a physical or sexual relationship point of view, I’m still trying to find this out, haha

However…..

With regards to they’re physical appearance, and with it being the beginning of the year, a lot of women will be thinking about how they’re going to feel on their next holiday, or how they were feeling if they’ve just been away over Christmas. I’m sure guys will be feeling the same too

It’s the time of year were most of us will be thinking on what we need to do, to improve our physical appearance. We’ll set some goals and make promises, to get to Classes, eat healthy and do other things, but as time goes by, for a lot of people, motivation will drift away

If you have set some goals or resolutions, re the fitness and health area of your life, here’s a couple of tips on how you can stick to them, over the next few weeks/ months:

1 Visualise a better you. I/ we often talk about fitness and diet, in our quest to achieve our desired outcomes, but above that is mindset. How you see yourself determines your behaviours

2 What beliefs do have about what you want to achieve? You’ll know deep down, whether you’re going to achieve it or not. If you do have some negative beliefs, write them down, and then make a new list on why or how, you can achieve your goals i.e. I can’t do that/ I will do that

3 Set boundaries on toxic people. What ever you do want to achieve, you really need to be in an environment of people who are of similar ilk to you, who are already achieving the same as what you want to achieve. Anyone bringing you down or holding you back, you need to put boundaries on the communication

4 Don’t rely on future happiness I.e. I’ll be happy when I’ve lost that weight, I’ve got that car etc. Focus on your strengths and qualities today

5 Finally, start today. Don’t use the metaphor, ‘oh I’ll do it tomorrow’. Tomorrow never comes. Don’t put off what you can do today. Personally, I make a list of what I need to do each day. This helps me get through as many things as possibly

Bonus – Try and record 5 wins each day. Even if you have had a bad day, this will help you feel more positive and upbeat again

Hope the tips help

Paul 🙂
